Cadillacs & Graffiti
🇨🇴 A estas alturas el paisaje era casi constantemente plano en todas las direcciones y la vía era recta. Salimos de New Mexico y pasamos todo el día viajando hacia la ciudad de Oklahoma. Para ello atravesamos la parte norte de Texas, donde el clima al fin dejó de sentirse como invierno.
A falta de relieve lo que se veía siempre desde justo al lado de la carretera hasta el horizonte era turbinas eólicas. Bueno, eso y una pequeña vía paralela a la interestatal que es parte de la vieja Route 66. La misma que encontramos antes en Missouri y Chicago.
No hay mucho para contar pero sí hay fotos. Si algún día pasan por Amarillo, TX, es bueno visitar el sembrado de Cadillacs de Cadillac Ranch. ¡Y lleven pintura! 🍌
🇺🇸 This stretch of landscape was almost completely flat in every direction and the road was straight. We left New Mexico and spent the entire day traveling towards Oklahoma City. To that end we crossed the north part of Texas, where the weather finally felt like it wasn’t winter anymore.
Instead of geographical features we could see wind turbines from right beside the freeway until the horizon. Well, that and a small frontage road that’s part of the old Route 66. The same which we found a ways back in Missouri and Chicago.
There’s not a lot to tell but we have pictures. If you ever find yourself traveling through Amarillo, TX, visit the crop of Cadillacs at Cadillac Ranch. And bring paint! 🍌
